My name is Ish Patel. I am 14 years old and I am currently in 9th grade. I had taken an interest in STEM ever since 6th grade when my school first offered me the opportunity to take a course related to STEM. That course quickly became my favorite class I had ever taken. We learned how to make basic cubes in Inventor and how to 3D print. I continued to use the license that I had for Inventor and I still use it right now. I have used this for many school projects and even 3D printed things that we needed around the house (example: a dustpan). Inventor (to me) is a very fun software to use that can also be used to accomplish basic tasks that would otherwise take much more time. In the past two years, I have also learned how to use a laser engraver and how to code Vex Robots. As stated before, I do and will continue to have a great interest in STEM and hope to further pursue this interest in IDEA. As for me as a person, I love to play video games, I have one sister whose name is Jamie. I do not have any pets, but I wish I did. This is my 2nd year in Waunakee (my family moves a lot) and I had came here from Wisconsin Dells.
Shown to the left is one of my biggest projects. I had to build and code a robot that could do a specific task for a competition. Instead of just using the bucket that was provided with the robot, I 3D printed my own custom one to optimize the size of it. I also had to take the existing CAD model of the robot and fit the 3D printed part to it in an Inventor assembly. This project took me weeks and I am very proud of it.
